Tina Turner — Born 1939

Tina Turner sits at a net worth of $230 million. And she isn’t retiring anytime soon, well in the proper sense of the word retirement.  Her bank account is magnifying, and Tina must be feeling content and secure about her finances. She can now reminiscence about her past glory and feel happy that she has had a successful career.

Turner always lived life to the fullest, and she is the queen of all she surveyed! She showed us her acting chops in a popular film, What’s Love Got To Do With It.

However, she is adept at singing too and has been substantially successful in her singing profession. She has lent her voice to many albums, which have helped her win over a huge fan base. At a year short of eighty, she is just taking it easy and enjoying the easy and languid life pace.

Bill Cosby – 1937

William Henry Cosby Jr. is a popular American stand-up comedian, actor, and author.  His career as a stand-up comedian began in San Francisco during the 1960s. What followed was a successful television stint from I Spy to the eponymous sitcom The Bill Cosby Show. You can gauge the latter’s success because the show ran for two seasons from 1969 to 1971.

In 1972, the show Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids were greatly successful, making him widely popular. His Cosby Show was another feather in his illustrious cap. Apart from his television and film career, he also won several accolades such as the honor of Doctor of Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Cosby walked down the aisle in 1964 with Camille Hanks in and has five children together.

Cosby is worth $400 million thanks to his spectacular success at The Cosby Show, where he won $4-million-per-episode payments. Baring a few age-related health issues, he is doing fine in retirement. And we are sure he enjoys shuttling around his properties in Shelburne, Massachusetts, and Cheltenham, Pennsylvania.

Billy Dee Williams – 1937

In 1959, Billy Dee Williams was a struggling actor about to make his big break. He had no idea it was coming, but come it did in The Last Angry Man. Williams had already been around the Broadway circuit by featuring in The Firebrand of Florence. However, it was with The Last Angry Man, that he shot to fame stardom. The drama film was a great platform to showcase his skills and brought numerous opportunities his way.

There aren’t many actors from the 50s who are still active today. However, Hollywood is fortunate to have the talent that is Billy Dee Williams, still contributing to the film circuit. He is continuing his career. In 2019, Williams reprised his role as ‘Lando Calrissian’ in Star Wars: Episode IX. From what we can tell, retirement is nowhere in Williams’ near future!
