In 1972, the show Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids were greatly successful, making him widely popular. His Cosby Show was another feather in his illustrious cap. Apart from his television and film career, he also won several accolades such as the honor of Doctor of Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Cosby walked down the aisle in 1964 with Camille Hanks in and has five children together.
Cosby is worth $400 million thanks to his spectacular success at The Cosby Show, where he won $4-million-per-episode payments. Baring a few age-related health issues, he is doing fine in retirement. In 1959, Billy Dee Williams was a struggling actor about to make his big break. He had no idea it was coming, but come it did in The Last Angry Man. Williams had already been around the Broadway circuit by featuring in The Firebrand of Florence. However, it was with The Last Angry Man, that he shot to fame stardom. The drama film was a great platform to showcase his skills and brought numerous opportunities his way.
There aren’t many actors from the 50s who are still active today. However, Hollywood is fortunate to have the talent that is Billy Dee Williams, still contributing to the film circuit. He is continuing his career. In 2019, Williams reprised his role as ‘Lando Calrissian’ in Star Wars: Episode IX. From what we can tell, retirement is nowhere in Williams’ near future!
